Hoar Cross is once more entering the Best Kept Village Community Competition this year. We were unplaced last year which was very disappointing. However, there is a strong desire to show we can do better this time,
The ‘tidy up’ on 22nd April went well with a good turn out of volunteers. Hopefully you will have seen the signs that show we have entered the competition and noticed how much cleaner the village is. (Please continue to pick up the litter that seems to appear overnight as much as you can. It will certainly help.) The planters on the speed gates will be planted up as soon as possible (when the threat of frost has gone). It’s lovely to see some new ones on the approach to the Deer Park – looking very cheerful with their smiling pansies.
The Community Foundation for Staffordshire is asking people to consider acting as Judges for the Competition. Information has been provided.
